Last week, at the Diddy Brings Magic To New York event, a group of 500 retailers, editors, and Sean John licensees and employees crowded into the company’s headquarters in New York to celebrate the brand’s 10 year in business. The brand also took the time out to showcase its spring 2009 line to buyers. They also wanted to pointed the newest member of the Sean John family, Dawn Robertson, the newly appointed President of Sean John.
Although Sean John has been in the fashion industry for 10 years, the company still aims their focus toward the future and new goals such as evolving the brand into new demographics, adding new product categories and opening additional retail stores.
According to All That’s Fab, Diddy will not be showcasing his spring 09 Sean John collection on the runway during fashion week. The only presentation Diddy has planned is an editors’ convention occurring this month.
Anyone have an idea why he isn’t doing Fashion Week?
The next fragrance for men from Diddy’s Sean John line will be I Am King, on set to launch in December. Diddy made a statement about the fragrance,
I Am King is a statement about all men. We are all descendants of royalty — and if we carry ourselves and respect ourselves in that manner and believe in ourselves, then we are all kings.
Sean John’s I Am King will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. It will be sold exclusively to Macy’s until February 2009. Look out for the women’s version, I Am Queen, to launch in the fall of 2009.
Diddy recently hosted an event for his own fashion brand Sean John. The “Sean John Brings Magic To New York” event took place yesterday at the Sean John showroom in NYC. The tycoon unveiled Sean John’s upcoming Fall/Winter collection to a crowd of buyers and guest.
