Ludacris is among many hip-hop celebrities who have been called on by New Era to design an exclusive cap for the company. Ludacris designed the caps himself and used things like a large Atlanta Braves “A†style crest on the side-front left that is half clear crystals on the right and half black crystals on the left. The cap also features the “Disturbing Tha Peace†logo in the flocked lining and undervisor flip along with the “Just Getting Started†logo on the back.
The limited edition New Era caps will be availabe on October 17, 2007 and will only be available at New Era Flagship stores and online at NewEra.com. Pricing for the caps have been set at $120.00 and only 200 hats will be made.

Chris Brown & New ERA Cap have teamed up together to design a line of branded caps that will go on sale Aug. 14 at hat retailer Lids, New Era stores and newera.com. The singer’s line features six designs, including one evoking the 1980s with an image of a boom box and another featuring the initials “CBE,” for Chris Brown Entertainment, Brown’s record label on Interscope.
Chris Brown’s hat deal is actually quite different from the usual. Chris won’t be paid on a flat-fee basis, New Era has negotiated with him to pay him a royalty based on the number of hats sold, according to Billboard.com. Brown designed 10 caps altogether, and retains ownership rights to the four that were not used. The caps will retail for $35 to $40.
