Apple hosted an event yesterday in Cupertino where they unveiled a whole set of new features coming to the iPhone in the next firmware. The 3.0 update has major advantages toward upgrading. As if things couldn’t move any quicker, T-Mobile & Google has unveiled their latest project. The T-Mobile G1 is set to bring tons of people to T-Mobile exclusively. The T-Mobile G1 has been the talk of the town due to it’s amazing features and powerful design.
The slide-out screen reveals the full QWERTY keyboard. The large sharp touchscreen, simple spaced out keys, and trackball makes this a really promising phone! The T-Mobile G1 has 3G, WiFi, and GPS. It also has a 3.1 mp camera, 5 hour talk time, 130 hour standby time, and space expandable up to 8GB via MicroSD slot.
Google has implemented a really useful feature where all your contacts, emails, appointments, and documents will sync to your Google account in a matter of seconds. The “App Store” has a fleet of applications that already have been made.
Google has announced the data packages for the G1. Surprisingly it’s much cheaper compared to the BlackBerry & iPhone data plans. T-Mobile will offer two data packages, a $25 plan which gives you unlimited data with “some messaging” and a $35 plan which is a unlimited everything plan.
The phone is available for pre-order today! On October 22 you’ll be able to pick it up at a T-Mobile store within 5 miles of a 3G covered area for $179 with a new contract.

The “I Am Rich” iPhone App by developer Armin Heinrich has hit the scene this week. Some have had mixed affection toward the very popular application. The application costs $999.99 and displays a glowing ruby-like light, and the words “stay rich, healthy, and successful.”
Over the past week, Apple has been relying on their customers comments on whether they should remove the app from their App Store. It’s kind of difficult to predict on whether Apple will remove the app, because they receive a percentage of the profit from applications sold via the App Store.
Update: Right now, it’s currently unavailable from the App Store.
