Hitting The Streets: Mitsubishi Wins With A New Ultra Thin TV

by Upscale Swagger on August 20, 2008

Mitsubishi is definitely putting a new term on ultra thin TV’s. They unveiled a new concept model of their  40mm-thin HDTV with external WHDI Wireless Tuner, and a BD Player. The TV is about 40mm thin and about 1.5 inches thick and hopefully should start manufacturing towards the end of the year. The TV has an interesting technology built in called WHDI, where it can be used to link the panel to the external tuner box. In other words, no wires will be connected directly to the TV. All components will be connected through the external tuner box and will be transmitted wirelessly to the TV.
