Ralph Lauren is not holding back when it comes to taking their brand to the next level. The signature Polo company is heading into a new venture mobile commerce, a technology which would allow shoppers to buy Polo merchandise from their cell phones.

The process for this will use a Quick Response Technology code in its ads, mailers and store windows, where shoppers can scan and download the bar codes on their camera phones. Once scanned, shoppers would prompted the site and be on their way to checkout.

Polo Ralph Lauren is currently the first luxury retailer in the U.S. to directly launch this type of service.
