Dolce & Gabanna will be expanding their brand by opening up 24 stores to their fleet of 90 stores around the world. Toward the end of 2008 to early 2009, the company will open up 24 stores which eight will operated directly. Cristiana Ruella, the groups director of general affairs, revealed in an interview, that she expects sales to increase by 20 percent compared to the previous year.
Among the 24 stores, Cristiana revealed that Dolce & Gabbana and D&G will be opening up in New Delhi, at a new luxury mall Emporio within the year. The company also has plans to open up a D&G store in Beijing in July and a Dolce & Gabbana flagship in that city in the spring of 2009.
On top of that, D&G stores will also open in China’s second-tier cities Nanjing, Shenyang, and Dalian before the fall. Cristiana also mentioned other important stores include new concept stores in Los Angeles in November, and in Kobe, Japan in September.
Dolce & Gabbana currently operates 90 stores around the world, 68 of which are directly operated. There are 62 D&G boutiques, 44 of which are directly operated.
